Buckingham Planning

As you may know the Buckingham Hotel site was bought by developers last year, and a planning application has been made to build 22 apartments in the pub and a three story building on the car park. 29 objections were made but as the council did not make a decision within the set time period the case has moved to VCAT.

If you objected you should have received a letter about this. The first VCAT hearing was last Friday 17/12/10, I attended and due to an error in the notice sent out by the developers town planner, the mediation hearing will be postponed from the originally planned date of 10/1/11.

If you objected and want to be part of the VCAT process you have to serve a Form B Statement of grounds to the developer, VCAT and the Council by 29/12/10. You can serve these by post or email.

The council are likely to reject the application next week, and if you objected, you should hear about this from them.

If you have further questions you can contact buckingham.planning@gmail.com.
